After a month of waiting it finally arrived!  Yesterday the UPS driver left me a little present and I decided to take a few pictures of the unboxing.

I finally pulled the trigger on a new amp.  It’s been about 12 years since I played guitar with any kind of consistancy.  If you know me you will notice that this coincides with the birth of my daughter.  Now that my kids are growing they are getting interested in playing guitar.  I’ve had an acoustic for a few years and about a year ago I purchased an Ibanez electric to mess around with.  So it was time for me to get an amp, there is only so much fun you can have with an unplugged electric guitar!  This is what I decided to get…

Crate V Series

It was a hard choice between this and a Line 6 Spider III.  The Line 6 is a solid state amp with many more effects, but I love the sound of a tube amp so I decided on this.  It won’t ship until October, so I won’t know how I did until a little later.

I was reading something the other day on a website, sorry can’t remember what one, and they talked about a site that let you read magazines.  I don’t think there is anyway it’s legal, but from what I was reading they get around it by hosting with TPB guys and running stuff offshore.  Anyway, I checked it out and all I can say is WOW!
